The Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) has opened applications for a range of job and internship positions, inviting qualified and motivated individuals to apply.

In a public notice issued on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, KAA stated it is seeking to recruit competent and self-driven candidates to support its operations in line with its mandate under the KAA Act Cap 395.

Among the advertised opportunities are 50 internship positions in a 12-month structured program designed to bridge academic training with hands-on experience.

The internship aims to equip participants with practical skills while offering exposure to the aviation and public service sectors.

Interns will benefit from access to KAA’s digital learning tools and collaborative platforms, as well as participate in interdepartmental projects, research assignments, and innovation initiatives.

The program also includes training sessions on leadership, ethics, communication, customer care, and time management.

Successful applicants will be placed in various departments such as human resources, finance, procurement, administration, IT, corporate affairs, security, engineering, and airport operations.

Each intern will be paired with mentors and supervisors who will offer guidance and monitor their development throughout the program.

KAA has also re-advertised 40 positions for Apron Controllers, who will undergo a one-year structured on-the-job training program. Candidates who demonstrate strong performance during the training may be considered for permanent roles, subject to the Authority’s staffing needs.

Key duties for Apron Controllers include monitoring apron areas for hazards such as fuel spills or debris, ensuring only authorized personnel and vehicles access airside zones, keeping detailed operational logs, and managing the safe movement of ground support equipment.

Additionally, KAA is recruiting for two senior roles: Manager, Management Accounting, and Manager, Risk and Compliance each with one available position. These appointments will be on permanent and pensionable terms.

Full job descriptions, eligibility criteria, and application instructions are available on the KAA website under the Careers section https://www.kaa.go.ke.

Interested applicants must submit their applications by 5:00 pm EAT on Monday, July 21, 2025.
